Payment is just as easy. No deposit is needed when you move in, and you just pay for one month at a time. And you can have your storage payment automatically charged to your credit card, so you don't have to worry about it.
For even more flexibility, you can pay online, control access to your room, communicate with the site manager, check payment history and print receipts when you join the Premier Customer Club (an option when you reserve your room).
U-Haul offers several levels of security in order to protect your belongings 24 hours a day while in storage. These can range from electronic gates to individually alarmed rooms. Ask the U-Haul representative at your storage facility about the levels of security provided at that location.
Our Safestor, self storage insurance is available for a nominal charge and will help provide peace of mind while your personal possessions are in storage.
Many locations also offer climate-controlled storage rooms to provide protection for heat-sensitive goods such as videotapes, albums, photographs and wood furniture.
If you make your one-way move with a U-Haul truck or trailer, we'll give you one month of free storage.
One-way truck or trailer customers with paid reservations are eligible to receive free storage before or after their move. The voucher can be used at any of over 1,000 convenient nationwide U-Haul storage locations, and is good for a free month of storage for two years after issuance date.
